Canola oil is a vegetable oil derived from a variety of rapeseed that is low in erucic acid, as opposed to colza oil. There are both edible and industrial forms produced from the seeds of any of several cultivars of the plant family Brassicaceae

Canola oil is generally considered a “healthy” oil because it is very low in saturated fat (7%). Like olive oil it is high in monounsaturated fat (63%).

Canola oil contains both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which makes it the healthiest cooking oil out there. Canola oil has 7 per cent saturated fat, which helps cut cholesterol levels. It is rich in vitamins E and K, and reduces skin problems and aging signs like acne, fine lines, wrinkles, blemishes and spots.
